I always give my students freedom to choose what type of mission project they want to do. I still get a lot of kits but at least they had a choice. This year the projects included:

Read Across America

Today our school celebrated Read Across America. Vons Grocery Store came and read to each class then gave all the students snacks! It was so great! We had an afterschool Scholastic Book Fair, cookies, storytelling, book project displays outside of all the classrooms and a dress up as your favorite book character! Overall a great day!
